SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) – A Utah County man driving south on I-15 was hit multiple times by a roadrager.

Derek Morgan was driving from Lehi to Springville when he says a man driving behind him began tailgating him.

"I saw him getting really close and then all of a sudden he just flashes his lights and rear ends me,” Derek Morgan says.

Seconds later, his bumper was hit again. "It was a jolt, it was no tap,” Morgan says.

Morgan says it was rush hour and he was boxed in. He called 911. The white suburban continued to chase him.

Morgan followed the 911 operator’s instructions and exited in Springville, when the roadrager approached his car.

"I'm telling the person on the phone, ‘He's walking toward my car, what should I do? What should I do?’

She told me to roll up my window and lock my doors,” Morgan says.

Authorities say Robert Mcclellan is the other driver who confronts Morgan.

"And he comes up to my car and he says what's your name little boy," Morgan says.

That's when highway patrol showed up.

“You know being Halloween and all, I got scared. You never can trust anyone,” Morgan says.

Authorities say Morgan was very lucky that troopers arrived just in time.

Mcclellan was arrested and because he was using his car to hit someone else is facing aggravated assault charges.
