OGDEN, Utah (ABC 4 News) - Hill Air Force Base dodged another restructuring plan proposed by the Air Force.
The government organization is under increased pressure to get more accomplished with less money.
Several proposals were considered including moving some of the F35 jets scheduled to be stationed at Hill Air Force Base to other locations in the country.
Today, the base learned the changes will not affect the base, which is coming as a relief to local business owners who rely on airmen and their families.
There have been at least five proposed changes at Hill Air Force Base since 1985.
"You hear wolf being cried so many times that after awhile you kind of ignore it," said the owner of Mike's Barber Shop.
The changes include retiring 286 aircraft over the next five years, including 227 in fiscal year 2013.
