HERRIMAN, Utah (ABC 4 News) – Some homes in Herriman were flooded after an intense rain storm on Wednesday afternoon.
Three homes were affected by the flooding. One had only minor damage, but two other homes' basements were flooded with several feet of water when the window wells filled and burst.
No injuries were reported, but fire crews and workers from Herriman City were working to place sand bags around the flooded homes and others nearby.
The water flowed into the homes after it accumulated in a field west of the homes located at 12600 South and 6000 West.
The storm was expected to continue dropping rain from the west side of Utah County all the way through down town Salt Lake City for a few hours.
More flooding could result from the rainfall.
