SANDY, Utah (ABC 4 News) - Flags will be setup for the 11th annual Healing Field flag display Friday, Sept. 7th, at 6 p.m.

The Healing Field flag display is a tribute to men and women who were killed in terrorist attacks, including first responders and those in the armed forces.

Healing Field officials say local volunteers will post hundreds of three by five foot flags on the south side of Sandy City Hall.

The display will run from Sept. 8th to the 12th. On Sunday, the 9th, The Hope Rising to Lift a Nation monument will be dedicated at 6 p.m. The statue recreates a photograph taken of three New York City firemen raising a flag amidst the rubble at Ground Zero.

A special ceremony will also be conducted the same day honoring local first responders and military personnel.

The event is free to the public and is located at 10000 Centennial Parkway in Sandy, Utah.
