How about, WHERE WERE HER PARENTS?? What kind of idiot leaves a 6 y/o unattended in the wave pool? Glad the lifeguards saved her. Hope her parents are more responsible next time.

You can spin this anyway you want but if you did not see it first hand then it is all hearsay. The life gaurds, once aware of the situation, lined the edge of the pool while the female life gaurd pleaded for some help. The sidebar life gaurds looked at eachother and froze as if waiting for the other to act first. Perhaps they were playing roshambo to decide whom would help first. the crowd yelled many times "Jump in the Water and Save her" The poor girl was plucked from the water and as soon as she was being attended to on the sidelines the staff allowed patrons back in the wave pool while the child still layed lifeless. Sheer negligence, the staff needs proper training. Don't rely on the Seven Peaks Staff to do anything but blow a whistle at you.

I, too, was there and thought the response of other people was so slow. And what happened to the little boy in the kiddie pool 10 minutes later they were blowing the whistle again. It was TOO crowded today. The stupid tubes in the wave pool should be outlawed. I've been run over by them and I am 35 years old. And LIMIT the number of people that can enter the park!!!!! It was awful!!!!!

I was there today and observed what happened. The lifeguard closest to the little girl handled the situation perfectly. She was quick to blow her whistle 3 times signifying Mayday or an emergency situation. She jumped in the water and started administering CPR IN THE WATER while other Seven Peaks lifeguards came over to assist. It all kind of went in slow motion in my mind. All of the other people in the pool did not come over to help out this girl lifeguard but continued playing in the water whether they were not aware or didn't know what to do. I am so glad that the girl was OK and that they were able to revive her. I think that we can all do a little better about being kinder to others and looking out for each other wherever we are at.
