SILVER LAKE, Utah (ABC 4 News) - A brush fire burned near the top of American Fork Canyon on Friday, forcing the evacuation of one campground.
The Silver Fire burned near the Silver Lake area.
A helicopter was working to control the fire from the northeast flank of burned area, while west flank was already out by early Fruday afternoon.
A U.S. Forest Service spokesman said that the fire was crawling close to the Mineral Basin area of Mount Baldy and had grown to approximately 2 to 3 acres in size.
The fire was quickly controlled, and the campground evacuation order was lifted.
