Contractor found passed out in remodeled home

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - Police say a man who was supposed be working on house remodeling was found passed out in one of the rooms.

Police say the homeowner at 407 East Kensington Avenue came home to find one of the contractor's vehicles still parked in the driveway.

According to police, the victim entered the house and could not locate the worker but noticed that belongings in the bedroom had been disturbed.

Police say the victim left the house and called police.

When officers arrived, police say they located 30-yer-old Matthew Thom, intoxicated and passed out in a back bedroom.

Police say Thom had miscellaneous items belonging to the victim in his pockets, and was arrested and booked for burglary.
