Condition of driver hurt in high-speed crash improves

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - Officials say the driver who was thrown from a vehicle after a crash involving a car going more than 100 miles per hour is recovering in a local hospital.
The crash that happened Tuesday morning on southbound Interstate 215 at 6400 South in Holladay.
On Thursday, the Utah Highway Patrol said the 41-year-old driver was listed in serious condition.
Troopers say he was driving more than 100 miles per hour when he slammed into a barrier and was thrown from his car.
Troopers said speed and alcohol may be factors in the crash.
