Bev Wasden and his cohorts at the Jordan School District earn about $175,000 per year for pushing a pencil. My wife's visiting teacher earns almost $80,000 as a secretary for the district. And they cannot afford a crossing guard at a dangerous intersection? Where are their priorities? It is not with the children. They can easily pay for a crossing guard by cutting their wasteful pay by just a few percentage points.
