DRAPER, Utah (ABC 4 News) - A car crashed into a Draper Barbacoa restaurant and AT&T store Friday evening.

Police say the driver of the Toyota Avalon was a 65-year-old woman who also had a passenger with her.

Police say the driver meant to hit the brakes as she turned into the parking lot in the strip mall on 12300 South 247 East, but pressed the accelerator instead.

The car drove through the entrance of the Barbacoa, turned right and broke through the wall into the AT&T Store, knocking over a display.

Police say there were customers inside both businesses at the time of the crash, but luckily, on one inside the stores or the car were injured.

Police estimated the cost of the damage at $20,000.
