And even if it was tribal land that still gives them the right to take a body out of there which belonged to none of them??

Roosevelt is not tribal it is state so check ur boundaries, maybe not all of Roosevelt but where my brother was, at the mortuary is state property

I don't know much about this story but I do know that the news is wrong when it says they took the body to the reservation, Roosevelt is part of that reservation. Check the boundaries.

Teddy is my brother and he was not adopted. He was raised in vernal, Utah his whole life, NEVER on the reservation!! May have been a tribal member but does that mean they own him? Shame on this tribe and what they have done! Teddy will get his wishes to be cremated and my mama is gona be one rich woman when all is said and done!!!

My, My. Roger, tell the truth. You know that is not what happened. You was servered with a Court Order to release the body. You refused to except Ute Tribal Jurisdiction on their own members in Indian Country. We all need to dig deeper, just maybe everyone will find out Roosevelt is all on Indian Allotments.
