OGDEN, Utah (ABC 4) - 31 bobcat pelts taken from a trapper's house may not be allowed as evidence in a poaching trial. Jared Beal’s lawyers say game wardens had no reason to attach a GPS tracking device to Beal's truck, calling it's a violation to his 4th Amendment Rights.
Beal was tracked while visiting dozens of trap lines in Northern Utah. He is believed to be exceeding his bobcat quota, selling 10 times Utah's annual limit.
He's charged with 12 counts of wanton destruction of protected wildlife
