OGDEN, Utah (ABC 4 News) - An ambulance was involved in a violent crash on the way to a local hospital on Friday.

Officials say the crash caused some injuries, and that the ambulance was transporting a patient at the time of the incident.

The Ambulance was from North Davis, and collided at the Highway 89 and Sunset Drive intersection, just east of Ogden Regional Hospital just before 11:00 a.m.

Officials say the crash involved four vehicles, and that among the injured were two ambulance emergency technicians and the patient who was being transported.

According to police, the ambulance was driving on Highway 89 with its lights and sirens on when it struck a Buick that had entered the intersection.

Police say a female passenger in the Buick was killed, and that two other people were also injured, although the extent of any of the injuries was not immediately known.
