I Would like to take this opportunity to introduce my myself. My name is Keith Fernandes, and I am setting up a Campaign called Prevent Inversion with Clean Fuels! Through this program I intended to participate in The National Clean Diesel Campaign and their Diesel Emission Reduction Act Grant. Through Strategic Petroleum Reserve’S we are currently working with Specialized Rail Service who operates over 100 trucks shuttling freight up and down the Wasatch Front. It is our belief that these trucks are one of the causes of our winter air pollution. Non-roadway exposure to particulate matter has also been linked to birth defects, low birth weights, and premature births. The updating of SRS  diesel particulate filters, will reduce emissions of harmful PM by more than 90 percent. While the conversion to CNG will further reduce PM and our dependence on Foreign Oil. We are currently entered into the Grow America Innovative Product Competition Vote for  Strategic Petroleum Reserve’S at www.growam.com

Unfortunately we are in a catch 22 situation. In order to reduce emissions, we will have to put more restrictions and regulations on businesses which in turn have to pay millions of dollars, or lose millions of dollars, in order implementing these restrictions or regulations. That means loss of jobs and increased unemployment. I understand there is a need for improvement, but do those who are pushing for change right now understand that the inversion is due to the weather and not to anything that we have control over? I hope those making these decisions are looking at the big picture and not just reacting with a knee-jerk response.
