Interesting that 237 years after we started the revolutionary war, Americans are still struggling for freedom from oppression. I'm sure next year there will be even more legislators who support this bill, and eventually LGBT people will be as free as the rest of us. Until then, I will keep having conversations with the members of my ward and my co-workers, and my family and friends. Because slowly we are all learning to take a more Christlike, loving approach with our gay family members and neighbors. Hearts change one at a time.

"A similar measure went before the Salt Lake City Council and was openly supported by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It passed." But if, in fact, the LDS Church TRULY supported SB 262, it would have passed with flying colors statewide. Yet, since the vast majority of the Utah Legislature subscribes to that faith, and since their own scriptures tell them, "...by their works ye shall know them; ..." (Moroni, ch. 7), it is easy for the rest of us (and the LGBT community in particular) to "know them," instead, as the Cadillac of hypocrisy, because the Christ they claim to follow deemed all human beings as equals, did he not? And since the LDS Church is also the largest financial supporter of the Boy Scouts of America, which would have decided to accept gay scouts back on 6 February of this year had it not been pressured by the LDS Church to delay that decision for due reconsideration of its so-called "family values," guess what that sponsoring organization had to say about that proposition? It basically said, if the Boy Scouts decides to treat gays as actual human beings, then the Church won't continue to financially support them! So, the many people (not all LDS) who get a healthy paycheck from the BSA organization, certainly do not want to sodomize (pun intended) their golden goose, now do they? But we'll know for sure in the next few weeks when the BSA renders it's final decision in that regard. And we'll all be watching when it does. For, by that decision, we'll all come to know the secretive works of the LDS Church that much better, now won't we? Just my opinion, of course, but it IS my decided opinion, figuring that Moroni actually KNEW what he was talking about. Indeed, no other organization on the face of this earth acts more contrary to their TRUE HUMANITY than the LDS/Mormon people. Perhaps the upcoming BSA decision will serve to help prove that fact. So we'll just have to wait and see whether THEY "choose the right" or not, eh?

Funny how they want to use Scripture that they don't believe when they can twist it to support their cause. Either you believe or you don't.

At least there's some good people that are willing to stick up for the LGBT crowd.
