One of the most hotly contested issue for the upcoming 2011 Legislative session that is already drawing major attention across the state and the country is immigration. Rep. Stephen Sandstrom has already proposed an Arizona-type bill with two months to go. But more recently a group of some of Utah's influential current and former political leaders, religious leaders, and members of the community signed the Utah Compact that deals with immigration.

Illegal immigration is a very hot topic in the United States, and in Utah. There has already been lots of talk leading up to the legislative session that starts in January. In November, several influential members of the community signed the Utah Compact which outlines five guidelines to guide the illegal immigration debate.
