The holiday season is a very special time of year. It's a time when many remember those who are less fortunate. And a time when the rush of everyday life seems to take a backseat to other, more important things.

What does Christmas really mean? To many different people, it means many different things. But to Reverend France Davis it means giving back and focusing on the true spirit of Christmas.

One of the most hotly contested issue for the upcoming 2011 Legislative session that is already drawing major attention across the state and the country is immigration. Rep. Stephen Sandstrom has already proposed an Arizona-type bill with two months to go. But more recently a group of some of Utah's influential current and former political leaders, religious leaders, and members of the community signed the Utah Compact that deals with immigration.

The signing of the Utah Compact caused a stir in the community as we get closer and closer to the 2011 Legislative Session. Many ideas on how immigration should be dealt with have already been proposed.

Illegal immigration is a very hot topic in the United States, and in Utah. There has already been lots of talk leading up to the legislative session that starts in January. In November, several influential members of the community signed the Utah Compact which outlines five guidelines to guide the illegal immigration debate.
