CLEARFIELD, Utah (ABC 4 News) – Utah companies are keeping jobs and money in America. ABC4 is taking the challenge into the New Year; spend your money on American products and help create American jobs.
Lifetime Products is a Utah company helping with your family fun and making it in America.
Hundreds of employees are working in their Davis County facility, building tables. Just one of the products coming out of the Lifetime Products facility. They have been in the state for over 25 years.
Richard Hendrickson is the President of Lifetime. He talked to ABC 4 about the beginnings of his company, “Starting literally out of a garage of a home and through innovation and lots of hard work becoming an amazing company.”
The company has been evolving since it started in 1986 and now they are sending hundreds of truck loads of product out of their facility every work day.
First they tackled basketball hoops and now they have exploded with hundreds of products; American made.
The company feels it’s important to keep these jobs local, to help the economy. Hendrickson said, “Manufacturing is a core and staple for our country, and manufacturing in the United States of America provides jobs and helps the middle class."
Lifetime believes they can bring money to Utah, by creating more jobs. But to get there they you’re your help.
Hendrickson said, “When people recognize that spending money on products made in the US and its the cascading effect is important, it bolsters our economy.”
Spending money in America, keeps cash at home. Instead of spending it overseas where it will not come back.
