Taylorsville, UT (ABC 4 News) - Will Dance For Kids Project is presenting a charity event featuring over 950 local dancers who have joined together to raise money for the Kid’s Café & Backpack Programs at the Utah Food Bank.
Dancers from over 15 studios across the Wasatch Front have raised this amount through Sponsors, In-kind donations and Hearts &Hands prize drawing tickets, all to help feed hungry kids in our community. The project is kids helping kids and instills the spirit of giving and sharing in every dancer who participates.
Will Dance for Kids Project is both a dance competition and fundraising competition. The Grand Prize will go to the studio with the most donations through fundraising efforts. Individual fundraisers from the studios will win prizes donated by the national dance community which includes a scholarship to World Dance Movement in Italy! Fund raising efforts kicked off with a "Thriller Flash Mob" in October at Gardner Village, with hundreds of dancers collecting 2500 lbs of food!
The project will culminate with the Will Dance for Food Competition held Friday, March 1st from 4-9 pm and Saturday, March 2nd from 9 am– 9:30 pm at Taylorsville High School.
