Yes!!! I agree 100%. At the minimum, this operator should be fired. This is absurd! He was unprofessional, careless, incompetent, and sarcastic. Who needs that in a 911 operator? He should be ashamed of himself. All of the time that he WASTED----asking her to get out of her car to get her license plate number? Sarcastically asking her to clarify; Is she supervising herself? I mean, come on! You are not the detective. Escalate the call to a supervisor and dispatch some help! ESPECIALLY considering that there are children involved. I'm just so sick about all of this... I can't even describe it.

I disagree, the negligence shown by the operator, who was contacted by a social worker of the children, court ordered by the state, and that the call was not escalated immediately is no less then manslaughter to negligent homicide. This is not a case of indifference, this is a case of woeful incompetence. After identifying herself, the social worker stated that the man was acting erratically and that he was a high profile person of intrest and she was worried about the safety of the children. The operator with full knowledge that children were involved and that they were unable to protect themselves still waited over 10 minutes to contact a police officer is inconcevable and a violation of the public trust.

The 911 Operators really need to get their crap together after hearing this it is obvious they are clueless. The operator that took the initial call should be charged with negligence.
