SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - Moms should be on the lookout. The Bumbo has been recalled.
The baby seat is a favorite for new moms everywhere. Farmington mom Jodi VanSkiver told ABC4 News, "It allows them to sit up which they couldn't normally."
But the popular baby accessory has been recalled. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said the manufacturer is recalling four million baby seats after reports that at least twenty-one babies fell from the seats and fractured their heads.
ABC4 tried to buy a Bumbo on Wednesday. They were on the shelves in WalMart, but we couldn't get out of the store with one. When we went to pay, the item came up "Restricted" in the computer system.
The Bumbo is also sold at Target and they sold the seat early Wednesday. ABC4 News spoke to Target Corporate, they said they are working on getting every Bumbo out of their stores.
If you have a Bumbo, you are urged to stop using the product immediately and order and install a free repair kit from the manufacturer.
