LAYTON, Utah (ABC 4 News) - The UHP Trooper who died following a rescue on Mount Olympus will be laid to rest this weekend.
Friday night there will be a viewing at Northridge High School and his funeral on Saturday.
The entire school parking lot and procession to the cemetery will be lined with blue ribbons. Volunteers from Davis and Weber counties worked to ties the thousands of ribbons and Friday put them in place. A tribute they know will help Trooper Beesley's family during this very tough time.
Janet Thorsted helped to organize the ribbon decorating, she told ABC4; "I think it is part of the healing that the family see the support. Last night we had three members of the Jared Francom family there. They lost an officer too and they said it meant so much to them to be able to pay it forward."
Every part of the decorating was donated. From the ribbons, to the time; thousands of ribbons will be a gift to the Beelsey family from the community.
