Dr. Zak Zarbock with Families First Pediatrics in South Jordan says he continues to see Swine Flu testing positive for Influenza A and at the same time a lot of flu like illnesses that are not testing positive.
He says in most cases unless a fever is prolonged the child seems dehydrated or is having respiratory difficulty it is okay to manage flu-like symptoms at home with fluids, Tylenol or Motrin. He says to stay away from other until symptoms have improved or until the child is fever free for at lease 24-hours.
He is also seeing a lot of Croup and Strep Throat as well.
