Yeah, Tom. Those Utah summers get so cold. I can barely keep warm and I've got the fire burning and I'm wrapped up in two blankets.

This week has truly been one from "hell". In South Africa for example the weather has been so dry that when fires broke over the past weekend so many crops and animals got burned. A number of farmers are left homeless because of these uncontrolled fires. Smoke in general pollutes the air and polluted air just has a way of giving people sinus problems; headaches, scratchy throats and inflamed nasal cavities.

Americans want their cake and eat it too. They blame this pollution event on forest fires, yet at the same time they burn unlimited amounts of wood and charcoal to heat their homes and cook their meals. A very big part of the pollution problem is "closer to home" than Americans are willing to accept.
