Each of those fine players spoken of in the review reacted to the compelling message conveyed in the script. We're very gratified that our film, while not ready for broader distribution in some viewer's eyes, has secured national distribution through monterey media. We're grateful for the opportunity to present some universally important topics for consideration, and hopefully some introspection.

I loved this film, and the cameo pieces you mentioned are what was left after the distributors got to it. I was lucky enough to see the Director's cut, which was about 20 minutes longer and included lengthier scenes in the opening sequence that helped it flow more smoothly. It told more of the Governor's story [which was helpful in understanding the mentality of the community at the time] and the gunfight was followed by a conversation once Sutter awoke. Anyway, I thought it was beautiful, moving and definitely a cut above anything else I've seen done locally. I know what it's like to not be "LDS" and this film is a welcome breath of fresh air to those of us who appreciate a film with an uplifting message that doesn't force Mormonism on us. It is truly lovely.
