SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - One man is dead, and another in serious, after a stabbing at a show club Saturday night.

Just after 11 p.m., a fight occurred inside Southern Exposure at 3420 South State, said South Salt Lake Police Sgt. Gary Keller.

The fight was originally broken up inside the club, but continued when both parties moved outside, said Keller.

Officials said a 27-year-old man from Bakersfield, Calif. was stabbed multiple times in the chest and was pronounced dead when police arrived at the scene.

A 29-year-old man, who is a security guard at the club, was also stabbed in the chest and was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

Keller said investigators are trying to piece together exactly what happened, as well as figure out how many individuals were involved in the incident.

Officers have arrested Isaac Anthony Gallegos, 44, in connection with the homicide. He has since been booked into the Salt Lake County jail on homicide charges.

Police are waiting to release the name of the victim until next of kin is notified.
