SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - The Cadillac Escalade is more likely to be targeted by thieves than any other vehicle, according to the Highway Loss Data Institute. The 1994 Honda Accord is the vehicle most likely to be stolen, according to another study.
The HLDI reported that the Escalade has dominated the list of most-targeted vehicles. The data reflects not only vehicles which are stolen, but also losses from theft, which includes items stolen from inside the vehicle.
The Chrysler 300 tops the list of passenger cars, according to the HDLI.
The HDLI data differs from the
National Insurance Crime Bureau, which lists cars stolen as opposed to theft from vehicles. The HDLI uses data collected from the number and amount of loss claims filed.
