SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - Toyota is recalling 7.43 million vehicles in the United States and overseas because of a problem with a power-window switch.
The
recall affects more than a dozen models produced from 2007 through 2009.
Toyota said the driver's side power window switch had a problem during production that could lead to smoke being produced or possibly a fire starting in the car.
The vehicles being recalled are:
- 2007 to 2008 Yaris
- 2007 to 2009 RAV4
- 2007 to 2009 Tundra
- 2007 to 2009 Camry
- 2007 to 2009 Camry Hybrid
- 2008 to 2009 Scion xD
- 2008 to 2009 Scion xA
- 2008 to 2009 Sequoia
- 2008 Highlander
- 2008 Highlander Hybrid
- 2009 Corolla
- 2009 Matrix
If your car is being recalled, you will receive a notice in the mail later this month.
Toyota said the repair process should take about an hour.
