SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) – Build-a-Bear is issuing a huge recall less than a week after Christmas. The store is asking parents to return 300,000 bears that could be a choking hazard.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission told the company last week the Colorful Hearts Teddy Bear had to go. The CPSC says the black eyes can come loose, fall off the bear and be a choking concern. They are the “perfect” size to cause a problem.

Build-A-Bear acted fast. They took the bear out of their stores and are now asking people to return the bear to their stores.

If you have one of the bears, return it to your Build-A-Bear store and they will give you a coupon to get another bear.

It is important to note, this is the only bear of concern.
