The snow is falling fast and furious in some areas of the Wasatch, especially the mountain valleys. A trained NOAA weather spotter tells ABC 4 that there are 30 inches of fresh snow on the ground in the Liberty and Eden areas. That's alot of snow to plow or shovel and try to manuever thru on the drive home. Here are some other amounts:
Eden/Liberty 30"
Brighton 21"
Deer Valley 17"
South Ogden 13"
Kaysville 8"
This was a storm that dumped heavy amounts on the Northern Wasatch and left most of the Salt Lake Valley with snow falling, but not really sticking to the ground.
Be careful overnight and tomorrow morning as the snow will refreeze on the roads and they will become icy. Stay tuned.
