Space Shuttle Endeavour launched into space early this morning on it's way to join up with the International Space Station. And, once again, Utahn's will have a chance to view the shuttle fly over our state.
Patrick Wiggins, a NASA and Solar System Ambassador to Utah, says the first pass that will be the most visible for Northern Utah will be the morning of Saturday the 20th. There will be two other passes on Wednesday the 17th and again on Friday the 19th that he says will be "okay" but not as bright. Now, if you are in Southern Utah you will also have a chance to see it pass over the morning of Saturday the 20th and there should be a spectacular pass according to Patrick the following morning if it's still in orbit.
I'll make sure to post the times here in another blog before the shuttle sightings and make sure to watch Good Morning Utah from 5-7am and I'll have the times on those days and more information on where to look in the sky. Mark it on your calendars now and we'll be watching the skies and the times for youl.
