SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Tickets for the annual Christmas concerts by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra open for registration Saturday and continue through Oct. 22.

Tickets are awarded in a random selection process.

Award-winning tenor Alfie Boe and journalist Tom Brokaw will be the featured guest artists at this year's concerts, which are scheduled for Dec. 13-15 in Salt Lake City at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' Conference Center.

The church said in a statement Friday that 84,000 tickets will be made available for four 90-minute performances, including the dress rehearsal Thursday night before the concerts.
