Did you know that by entering the property, you give CC the right to photograph you and use your pictures in CC advertising? This is clearly stated up front. I was taken aback when I discovered this. So is this even legal? I can see using your picture for some things, but not ever if they are using it to make money. Is this legal or just something CC pulled out of its ass and they will continue until confronted in a court? Security is a problem. Some of the doors are left unlocked so anyone can get in. The front doors are left unlocked sometimes until 12:- 1:30 AM. Some people warm up waiting for the TRAX and they are treated from well to 'get the hell out before I call the cops.' Oddly and unless I am blind, the hours of operation are not on the front door. I think CC security is variable in its enforcement and the CC "security" guards need education above all else. They should be fearful of inconsistent enforcement before they meet a lawyer who can take them to task and it cost much cash in out of court settlements. Even on Sunday, it would be easy to get into the mall because the doors are not locked. I am not suggesting trespassing; CC does have rules and they want a safe place. What I object to is the treatment. I had a problem just today, where I was accused of a crime. I was "interviewed" in the mall proper with people milling about. I thought if you break a serious law, the cops were called and your interrogation should take place in the security office. Apparently, one of the security guards can see through walls. He knows--just like Santa--what you are doing without entering the room.

I agree with the above poster 100%. If the rules were just those described above exactly how they were said, I wouldn't have a problem. But there are loads of discrepancies and WAY too much room for personal opinion when it comes to these "codes of conduct." my bos's son, one of the nicest and most respectful guys I've ever met, was not allowed in because he had tattoos.before the altercation, he disrupted no one. He was not wearing anything "vulgar" or "offensive". Instead he was the victim to city creek's personal bias and needless to say, they lost far more than one customer that day.

Keeping it classy? I have never been so judged or called trashy before reading this article and being told at city creek that my sundress, not at all trashy, or immodest, was not allowed because my shoulders were exposed, the straps were too skinny. I am a frequent traveler to the SLC area, and spend shopping dollars here, but not at City Creek, ever again. My civil rights are far to important to me.
