American Fork band hopes for funding to go national

AMERICAN FORK, Utah (ABC 4 News) – After last month’s fatal bus crash, the American Fork band went from tragedy to triumph winning the eight state band competition in Saint George.
The band took home regional prizes, but then won the entire competition on Saturday.
“After what the band has gone through this year with the loss of Heather Christensen this is a just a sweet, sweet ending,” said John Miller, American Fork H.S band director.
The band is hoping to compete nationally this coming weekend, but it does not have the funding. If you wish to contribute donations can be sent to the Alpine foundation at 575 N 100 E. AF,Utah 84003 or you can contact them at 801-756-8425.
