Create a little bench that can withstand the elements in the kid's rooms, bathroom, the mudroom and more!

Supplies

• Paint  (Black is what we used)
• Spray paint
• Mod Podge- Matt Finish
• Sanding pad
• Stickers and any embellishments
• Paper
• Dried flowers
• Ribbon
• Tacky Tape
• Circuit
• Paint pens
• Enviro Tex  3333102016

Instructions

1. Sand all the edges of the bench or stool
2. paint the bench or any wood piece of your choice use a good coat of paint
3. The ideas to add to your bench or stool are endless you can create a piece that will last forever
4. cut your paper to fit the top, sides or bottom of your bench
5. lay the paper down where you want it to be next lift up the pieces of paper and mod podge the item on do this till all the pieces are glued down (that is what the mod podge does)
6. after the pieces are down go over each piece with mod podge to seal it. Let it sit till its almost dry then repeat the process a few times you want three coats of Mod Podge on your wood piece before you use the Envriotex
7. Add any of your vinyl lettering or other embellishments and glue down with the Mod Podge
8. You can add photos to any wood piece you just have to make sure it’s a real photo or it will bleed but to remember Mod Podge over the photo like it was paper and I promise it wont hurt your photo it will preserve it
9. when your all done and the bench  looks the way you like put another layer of mod podge over the whole thing and let dry really good  it takes over night and when you are using the Envriotex you have to be in a well vented area the smell is really strong
10. Just a tip make sure that you cover the floor so it wont drip all over
11. Its time for the EnviroTex this is like adding 50 coats of varnish to you wood and will leave a High Gloss Finish
12.  For the top coat Read all the instructions on the box and you cant go wrong
13. Now this bench  will last forever with a strong strong top coat

I hope you have as much fun as we did creating this bench that will now last for years to come!

All supplies for today's project available at Roberts Arts & Crafts.

This is also a comment on Roberts and not just the bench. Debbie Neve said she could not get the wood to make the project. Well this is not the first project that has been on air and no supplies in store.

The comment I have is not about the bench, but the other project Roberts Crafts displayed today with Angie. The wood tile project that was done today, I went to Roberts to pick up the wood tile piece, and they didn't even have one in stock. Apparently they haven't had any for several months, and don't plan on getting any in. The item they showed I believe was the 9 piece tile, which I was told is discontinued and not available. What a total disappointment. I had planned on making them for several birthday gifts, but since I can not locate the item I guess I will have to do something else. Please tell the people you have on demonstrating things, that maybe they should make sure the item is available before having it on the air. Debbie
