The Salt Lake Parade of Homes just finished Jean Eyre with Lighting Design says the new trend of design is  Lighter finishes find newfound appeal.
It's official. Gone are the antique bronze, and in their place are lighter, brighter finishes.
As budgets are stretched, consumers want items that look just as good years from now as they do today. Timeless neutrals illustrate more lasting value. As a result, aged and heavy finishes have been replace with lighter and softer looks.

The trends are odiously getting cleaner and more streamlined and the look is refined and uncluttered. Customers want things to be cleaner.
The results? Chrome and satin nickel continue in popularity-thanks to their clean appearance.

Lighter-tone finishes in brushed antiqued treatments with added metallic accents to traditional and transitional styles are gaining in popularity. It's clean with a warm tone to to it.
