We are having the 46th Annual International Conference at the Grand America Hotel Feb. 25-28,2009. This conference will cover many topics from Autism to ADHD, from early childhood to adult transitioning. The National Dyslexia foundation has teamed up with LDAU this year as well combining both organizations conferences.
The conference itself is open to the public and there are fees involved. The fees will vary depending on how how many days you want to attend. There will be on-site registration each day, or they can pre-register at www.LDAAmerica.org
Rick Lavoie is the keynote speaker. David Irons Jr. from the NFL Atlanta Falcons will speak at the luncheon on Thursday about his experiences with his own learning disabilities. There are classes for educators as well as parents and a class on how to help your children tame the homework monster.
We do have monthly meetings that are free to the public. We have parents and educators both coming. We meet once a month at the Provo City Library. The class topics vary. Members of the LDAU Association will receive a monthly newsletter with this information.
