Flat Daddies is an organization that makes life-like cutouts for military families with deployed parents.
These cutouts are for mostly younger children, to help them identify parents who are away - by "seeing" them on a daily basis
Annette Lyon just wrote a book, Band of Sisters, the characters are based on some real-life military wives Annette met. After her experience talking to these wives, Annette wanted to give back to these families who sacrificed so much, so she contacted the Flat Daddies organization and is now a representative for the charity.
