1 vanilla cake mix plus added ingredients
1 chocolate cake mix plus added ingredients
Heavy cream or cool whip
Green fruit leather
Sliced Strawberries
Pre-made sugar cookie dough
To assemble:
Bake the cupcakes as directed in a cupcake pan with liners. Set aside and let cool.
Remove the liners from the vanilla cupcakes and with your hand use gentle but firm pressure to flatten each one so they are just a round disk. Remove the liner from the chocolate cupcake and remove the top part of the cupcake, eat or discard the remaining part.
Take one vanilla cupcake and invert it so the rounded part is at the bottom, place a generous portion of cream on it, this will act as a binder and look like mayo. Place the chocolate cupcake top on next, then add another layer of cream, sliced strawberries, these look like tomatoes, and strips of green fruit leather. Finish with a bit more cream and top with another vanilla cupcake. Set on a platter for serving.
To make the fries, roll out the cookie dough fairly thin. Cut into strips and place on a baking sheet covered with foil. Sprinkle sugar on top, bake as directed, you want them crispy and brown.
Place fries next to the cupcake and serve your guests a fun and easy summertime desert.
