Cowgirl Stew

Simple and hearty.... doesn't get better than that for fall! Great for cowgirls and cowboys alike! If you want to make this meal vegetarian, I would sub out the ground beef for some nice, thick mushrooms.

6 potatoes, peeled & cubed
2 Lbs. ground beef
3 cups water
1 (16 oz) pkg. frozen corn
2 Med. tomatoes, diced
1 (15 oz) can Ranch-style beans
1 Med. onion, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
2 Tbsp. chili powder
¼ cup sugar
1 dash garlic powder

Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Crumble into slow cooker and add remaining ingredients. Cook on low about 6 hours or high 3-4 hours until vegetables are tender. Add salt and pepper to taste.
