Linda Harless is the principal of the virtual K-12 public school called Utah Connections Academy and she came on to tell us all about it.
Students work with state certified teachers online and on the phone while a parent serves as "Learning Coach" to monitor progress in the home. Its a public school, not home schooling, so its free to have your kids sign up. They can do personalized learning that is tailored to meet the student's academic needs. They are also flexible and can help students learn at a pace that works for them. The Academy will still do field trips to museums and zoos to provide a fun social aspect to it as well.
