The Dance Project SLC is located in Cottonwood Heights, under the Direction of Laila Hardman. The objective of The Dance Project SLC is to provide dance training that emphasizes proper dance training and technique coupled with building self esteem and encouraging individual creativity in a safe and positive environment. Each dancer will leave class feeling a strong sense of personal achievement and a love of dance.
We offer classes for beginning level to Pre-Professional. Emphasis in intensive training, Master Classes with renowned Guest Teachers and performance & competition teams. We are also proud to be home to Divinity Professional Dance Company.
The Dance Project SLC dancers have been working hard over the last few months to raise funds for the Utah Food Bank kids programs. They've gathered donations, sponsorships, food donations and sold raffle tickets. Last year, we were able to raise nearly $3000 for this project. Our dancers love to help the community and we think it's important that we give back to local kids in need.
Another exciting feature is that we are working along with ten other Utah dance studios to raise money through a larger project-Will Dance for Kids Project. Last year the project raised $15,000 for the Utah Food Bank. The fundraising all culminates with a large dance competition in the Spring. Although studios are "competing", they are all working together through the dance community for a great cause!
Although we are one of the smallest studios involved, our talented dancers and their families have worked hard and would love to encourage the Good Things Utah audience to support our fundraising efforts!
