The Biggest story problem is an independent documentary film exploring the middle school math crisis in the United States, from the perspective of one math teacher-turned-game-designer, 15 teachers willing to try something new and hundreds of middle school students from across the country.
The documentary explores why students in the United States perform well in math in their elementary years, score above average until eight grade, and then drop to the bottom tier in the world by tenth grade.
The documentary highlights top-scoring Finland as well as the largest textbooks in the world to see how they affect students in our country.
The directors say it is a story of hope.
