TLC’S ROLOFF TO KICKOFF NATIONAL WOMEN BUILD WEEK
Amy Roloff from TLC’s Little People, Big World will be travelling to Utah County to help Habitat for Humanity of Utah County recognize the Annual National Women Build Week and kickoff local Build Week activities. Ms. Roloff will be hanging drywall with female employees from the two local Lowe’s stores, community volunteers, and Habitat staff on April 30, 2011 from 8-4 at the Mariscal Habitat home, located at 764 West 600 South, in Springville. Following the build, a chocolate reception and silent auction will be held in her honor at the Utah Valley Home Builders Association in North Orem.
Ms. Roloff will be available for media interviews on Friday, April 29, 2011.
Developed through the partnership between and Habitat for Humanity and Lowe’s, National Women Build Week (April 30-May 8, 2011) challenges women to devote at least one day to the effort to eliminate poverty housing. This year, Habitat for Humanity of Utah County is planning to build all week at the Springville home with female volunteers throughout the community. Those interested in participating can look online at http://www.habitatuc.org/events/women_build.html or contact Rachel at (801) 368-2250 or rwyatt@habitatuc.org.
