SNOW SCOOPS
Empty and rinse out containers - gallon jugs, detergent bottles, etc.
Using strong scissors, poke a hole along the BASE and cut around, removing the entire bottom
Sand any rough edges
Replace lid
Scoop and play in the snow, sand, water, etc.
GIANT SNOWFLAKES
6 squares of paper (ours were 9")
Scissors
Tape or stapler
Fold each square in half to make a triangle, then in half again forming a smaller triangle.
With the open sides at the bottom, cut three lines, parallel to the long straight side, from the bottom, almost to the top, but not all the way. Repeat with each piece.
After cutting, unfold all. Tape or staple alternating triangle strips together from each side of the shape. Makes a tube of interlacing strips. Once complete, attach all the tubes together, forming a giant star, SNOWFLAKE shape.
SNOW GLOBES
Empty mason jars with lids, baby food jars, etc. with labels removed
Clay
Water proof miniatures - Lego's, ornaments, toys, etc.
Glitter
Water
Place clay in the jar lid, use additional clay to secure the scene. Make sure the objects are secure or they will come loose in the water. Fill glass jar about ¾ with water (objects in lid will displace some of the water). Sprinkle in glitter. Turn filled lid upside down and screw tightly to jar. Invert on to lid. Gently shake and watch it snow.
