Simona hopes to race in the Indy Racing League soon... Danica may want to practice her "shake and bake"!

This young lady was first introduced to Good Things Utah two years ago as Frankie Muniz's racing partner and since then she has blown the competition away!

Simona de Silvestro (born September 1, 1988 is a Swiss race car driver from Thun, Switzerland.  She races for Team Stargate Worlds in the Atlantic Championship. She won the Atlantic race at the 2008 Long Beach Grand Prix, making her the 2nd woman to win in that series. She has won 4 times in the 2009 season and finished 3rd in the standings, after retiring from the first lap in the final race at Laguna Seca, after leading the points for most of the season.

At the Atlantic Championships this year there was a controversial call by race judges Markus Niemela’s Jensen Motorsport car appears to hit Simona's car (Team Stargate Worlds).

The crash resulted in Markus being penalized 30-seconds (2 positions) for “avoidable contact” and Simona De Silvestro dropping out of the race, waving her title hopes good-bye.

Was it a good call or bad call? You be the judge!  To see the video you can google Simona's name and find it anywhere or click here (it's the best we've found).  Let us know what you think!  Please email your opinion to goodthings@abc4.com.
