A student from Brigham Young University brought several bands together to record Christmas music for a great cause. Glenn Rowley put together the Red Cardigan Christmas CD.
The thirteen mostly local bands include Lindsey Stirling from America's Got Talent, Brooke White from American Idol, Amy Whitcomb from The Sing-Off and many others.
A portion of the album's proceeds will go directly to Community Action Services and the Food Bank in Provo to help less fortunate families throughout Utah and Wasatch Counties this holiday season.
Rowley hopes the album will bring awareness to the area's growing poverty rate which has increased by 20 percent in the last three years. There are currently 76,000 people living in poverty.
