REAL SALT LAKE ANNOUNCES SCHEDULE FOR 2013 RSL YOUTH CAMPS PRESENTED BY QUESTAR
Fifth Year of Popular Program to Make 21 Stops across Utah and Idaho
SANDY, Utah (Thursday, March 7, 2013) - Real Salt Lake is proud to announce the return of its Real Salt Lake Youth Camps Presented by Questar series, which is set to kick off its fifth year beginning in early June. There will be 21 camps held across 19 cities in Utah and Idaho this year, including new locations in Herriman, Utah, Clinton, Utah; Highland, Utah; Sandy, Utah; South Jordan, Utah; Sugar House, Utah; and Holladay, Utah.
The RSL Youth Camps program is a series of weeklong camps focused on developing technical and tactical soccer skills in young athletes. The camps are designed for players of all skill levels, boys and girls ages 3-18. All camps will include Real Salt Lake's Pre-Kickers Camp (ages 3-4), Mini-Kickers Camp (ages 5-8), Youth Skills Camp (Ages 7-14), the popular Striker Camp (Ages 9-16) and Goalkeeper Camp (Ages10-18). Select cities will host RSL's new Elite Player Camp (Ages 10-14), new Elite Goalkeeper Camp (Ages 10-18), new High School Day Camp (Ages 14-18) and Men's College Prep Academy (college incoming freshman-senior).
All campers will be put into a challenging environment that demands good training habits and encourages the development of the soccer player in a fun and rewarding experience.
Along with participation in the RSL Youth Camps, attendees will receive additional benefits, including a free RSL Youth Camps t-shirt, a ticket voucher to a 2013 RSL home game and an invite to Camper Appreciation Day, to be held during a RSL contest at Rio Tinto Stadium (match/date TBA). A $10 "sibling discount" will be available for families that have more than one child participating and a $10 per child "team discount" will be available for each player that attends as part of a team of 10 or more (applications for all team members must be received together). In addition, Real Salt Lake is also extending a $10 discount per account for all 2012 RSL Season Ticket Holders.
Back for his fifth year as RSL Director of Youth Camps is Rob Karas, who has earned several national licenses and diplomas, including the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) National "A" License, the NSCAA International Premier Diploma, the USSF National Goalkeeper License, the USSF National Youth License and the NSCAA Director of Coaching Diploma. When combining such accreditations with Karas' 10 years of professional soccer experience and numerous trips to clubs around the globe to gleam best practices regarding youth development - including visits to Barcelona FC, AC Milan, Cheivo Verona, Atalanta, AJAX, PSV and Haarlam and Hercules - it can be assured that the RSL Youth Camps will provide a well-rounded soccer curriculum for all children involved.
