Ladies, are you eating enough protein? It may be the secret to losing weight. Personal Trainer Jenny Later was here explaining the many benefits of protein.

When you're ready to get into shape and lose weight, instead of focusing on burning fat, focus on building muscle. Muscle is the key to that tight and toned body you want and is the only thing that actually burns fat.

We are always burning fat. We never stop burning fat. But by building muscle you burn fat more and more effectively and more efficiently.

The only way to build and protect muscle is with protein.

The only complete protein (100% of all essential amino acids) is animal based protein. Anything that comes from an animal or is an animal.

*Whey, Egg, Casein, Lean meat, Fish, Chicken, Shrimp, and Dairy are all good, high quality sources of protein.

Lower quality (animal based) protein would be Jerky, deli meats, cheeses, hot dogs, bacon and any protein high in fat, overly processed or high in sodium.

You should eat some type of protein every few hours throughout the day. This not only keeps your metabolism firing but also protects your muscle.  Not eating or starving yourself actually makes you fatter and softer.

Focusing your diet around protein and eating consistently throughout the day will really help you achieve your goal and stay lean. This isn't a diet. Its a lifestyle. Something you can do forever. Your whole family can do this. You can teach your children how to choose a protein and fruit or vegetable whenever they eat. You can all work together to pick and create healthy meal options.

The best of Protein Benefits:

*Natural appetite suppressant

*Never stores at fat

*Keeps metabolism firing

*Builds and maintains lean muscle
