Chef Dave Prows and his doctor, Kirk Moore, M.D. talk about his struggles with hormone issues.

Women are more in tune with their bodies and hormones, and men tend to shrug it all off and say that it will get better tomorrow.  They tend to not seek help.

But the truth is, men struggle with their bodies and health, just like women do... even with hormones.

It takes the full program, hormones, nutrition, diet and exercise and supplements to even the body out.

At about age 30, most men begin to experience a gradual decline in testosterone.  Symptoms of declining testosterone include:
  • Lack of energy
  • Depression
  • Loss of stamina and performance
  • Increased adiposity (particularly belly fat)
  • Declining muscle mass and strength
  • Declining libido
  • Weak erections and impotence
  • Loss of facial and body hair
  • Breast development

Many men mistakenly believe that these declines are an inevitable part of aging, and as part of the increased  medicalization of aging, doctors prescribe medications to treat the symptoms -- anti-depressants, erectile aids, and weight loss pills, among others.

Testosterone replacement therapy is an effective option to restoring the testosterone to normal, healthy levels, countering these effects and restoring energy and vitality.

Testosterone replacement therapy is the first step, and testosterone replacement can restore levels to a normal range, thus gaining the physical and psychological benefits. This hormone therapy provides the foundation for dramatic changes, and by wrapping that therapy in a comprehensive program of diet, nutrition, and exercise to help men achieve their goals of looking better, feeling better, and living better, major gains in health and vitality can be realized.
