Brooke Curran, a mother of three, is proof that you don't have to give up on your running dreams just because you have asthma. She just finished the Days of 47 Marathon and talked with us about her journey.
Brooke Curran had been running for more than a decade before her hobby transformed into her life's work. In May of 2009, Brooke started the RunningBrooke Fund and made a commitment to run a marathon on all seven continents and in all 50 states to raise money for impoverished families in her hometown of Alexandria, VA. Diagnosed with asthma and exercise-induced bronchospasm (EIB), Brooke is a member of the board of Allergy and Asthma Network/Mothers of Asthmatics (AANMA) and has spoken on behalf of the organization on Capitol Hill.
